How the GamePad and Nabbit allowed a nearly-blind girl to play her first video game

GN Version 4.0

Jennifer is a very young girl that is nearly blind. While she had a great interest in joining her family while they played video games, her vision issues held her back. She has to sit very, very close to the screen to see what's going on. Even when doing that, it was still hard for her to see and she would end up blocking the TV view for others.

That has all changed now, thanks to New Super Luigi U and the Wii U. Now Jennifer can play via GamePad and keep the image very close to her eyes. On top of that, Nabbit is impervious to most damage (minus falls), so Jennifer can play along and keep in the action alongside her family.

Most gamers might complain about Nabbit, but knowing that the character can help this little girl to enjoy some family gaming time makes all my issues fade away.
