GN Version 4.0
- over one hundred dungeon levels
- every five levels you return to the Candy Kingdom to switch characters and buy upgrades
- every ten levels is a boss battle
- every twenty levels is a new environmen
- complete levels by defeating enemies, collecting treasures and finding the exit
- choose from Jake, Finn, Parsley, and Cinnamon Bun at the start
- get more characters by rescuing them or defeating them
- characters differ in speed, attack power, health/defense
- some characters can float over holes
- secret characters revealed thus far are Ice King, Marceline, and Lumpy Space Princess
- press and hold attack button to charge up your attack
- Cinnamon Bun's charge attack vomits a torrent of colorful sprinkles
- friends can revive you if you die
- if you're not revived in time, you have to wait until the next level to come back
- each character has a unique summon attack
- this will build up as you defeat enemies
- the orange bar underneath the hearts [is] your 'imagination' [which] builds up your summons
- Finn's summon is a massive attack so every enemy gets damaged
- Ice King's summon freezes everyone
- Marceline has fewer hearts than Cinnamon Bun
- depending on the dungeon environments, you'll encounter different enemies
- Hug Wolves don't actually hurt you, but hug you
- this hug curses you, which can only be dispelled by hugging other people
- some treasure chests contain "familiars" which have different effects that aid in attack, defense or do absolutely nothing
- one familiar that does nothing is Stanley the watermelon, who rolls around the characters' legs
- other treasures are automatically sent back to the Candy Kingdom upgrade station
- boss battles end with pixelated screens
- the original voice actors voice the characters
- Nintendo platforms are getting exclusive content
