GN Version 4.0
Coming from a Famitsu interview with series producer Kenichiro Takaki...

“The plan for Senran Kagura originally started with [the idea of] breasts that can be shown in stereoscopic 3D and beautiful women that can be shown in stereoscopic 3D, and I believed that we could do even more [with that idea]. A lot of time has gone by since then, and I feel that we need to show some results accordingly. I’d like to show a Senran Kagura that can fully show off the hardware’s characteristics.

As an action game, the idea of wanting to make something that feels good and allows you to simply connect combos, was there ever since the very first title. Since this time it’ll be a ‘2,’ I wanted to go all out on the renewal, and thought about making it into an action game that lets you comfortably pull off combos, better than before. So, in order to do that, having two characters would be better for making it easier to pull off Ninjutsu art combinations. I believe that we’ll be able to show something we’ve yet to see.

In order to show the entire game in stereoscopic 3D, it would look better with more depth and space, so we decided to completely change it altogether. Depending on the scenes, you might have them completely horizontal and giant boss fights will allow you to move in 360 degree angles. Basically, it’ll switch to the view that is best suited to the scene.

Well, Marusame was popular at the time of Senran Kagura Burst, so I thought it would make the fans happy (to include him in this game)… but yeah, he is pretty weak."
