GN Version 5.0

Combat

- developed by Ninja Theory
- George Lucas had been wanting to work with Ninja Theory for a long time
- devs looked into eliminating lag during combat
- battle animations start immediately,
- when you press a button there is already movement and gives you that feeling of responsiveness
- Disney Infinity 1 and 2 characters have been reworked as well
- Luke Skywalker can use both a blaster and a lightsaber
- juggle enemies in the air
- pausing mid-combo and holding down buttons will branch your attack off in different combo directions
- characters with control over the Force can push and pull enemies
- Anakin’s special attack uses the force to craft a giant ball of loose trash in the air
- Anakin brings it crashing down on his enemies
- you can release the ball whenever you want, instead of waiting for it to fully build up
- firing on an enemy will lock you onto a target, and you can flick between targets
- the option to enter manual targeting continues to exist

Twilight of the Republic playset

- takes place after the second movie when Anakin has not yet embraced the dark side
- starts on Geonosis with players exploring the mysteriously reactivated Droid factory
- encounter General Grievous, Jabba the Hutt, Cad Bane, Mace Windu, Sebulba, Darth Maul, and many others
- visit Coruscant, Tattooine and more
- not a canonical story
