“You earn coins and get bits every time you race. Sometimes you can make specific choices to earn more gearbits than coins, but coins are the currency used to upgrade your Skylanders. ...If you are towards the back of the pack, you are going to get items that allow you to catch up such as Wing and Boots, Ramaphone that gives you music, invincibility and speed. Then the Rocket Ram, which is sort of an offensive ability in addition to speed. If you’re at the front of the pack, you’ll get the Sky Shield, the invincibility or shield that comes down, Healing Elixir, that removes damage, and those kinds of things. Occasionally, you’ll get an offensive boost if you’re in the middle of the pack like Unlimited Ammo.”
