In Sega's recent financial briefing, which detailed Sega's earnings from April to September 2015, the company showed that they had a drop in sales and an increase in profits. When compared to last year's statistics, Sega reported their net sales had reached a total of $1.2 billion, which is a 2.5 percent decrease of last year's earnings. Sega also reported that the company had earned a profit of $7.9 million, which is a significant improvement after the company's $23 million loss in the previous year. The result of this has been linked to Sega's success with pachinko machines and mobile games, as the company had not released a major AAA title onto a video game console during this time.
