Story

After saving Luxendarc with the aid of her allies, Agnès Oblige became the spiritual leader of the Crystal Orthodoxy. She immediately set about persuading the Crystal Orthodoxy and the Duchy of Eternia to form a peace and, following years of animosity and endless effort on Agnès’ part, a truce between the two is finally near. Flanked by her bodyguard Yew Geneolgia, a bright young soldier of the Crystalguard, Agnès hosts a ceremony to declare a peace between the two parties.

But just as the peace treaty is about to be signed, a mysterious man known only as Kaiser Oblivion and his forces invade the ceremony, attacking Agnès and critically injuring Yew in the process. Yew later awakens from a coma, only to discover that Agnès has been abducted and the Crystalguard has been left devastated.

Determined to rescue Agnès, Yew goes in pursuit of Kaiser Oblivion’s flying fortress, the Skyhold. As he embarks on this grand adventure, Yew meets supporters both old and new, including Edea Lee, now head of the Eternian Ducal Guard, and an enigmatic girl from the moon called Magnolia Arch. Together, these newfound allies must save Agnès and restore the peace once again...

Al-Khampis
This spired city is celebrated as a centre for higher learning, particularly the study of magic. Scholars and students from every corner of the world gather here to exchange opinions and learn more about all manner of subjects, and esteemed magical masters are always hard at work forging fabulous new spells.

Gathelatio
The seat of the Crystal Orthodoxy, this deeply religious city grew as pilgrims flocked to visit the Temple of Earth and the sacred region around it. During the many years of strife between the Duchy of Eternia and the Crystal Orthodoxy, the city was mostly isolated from the rest of the Eternian continent. With the two forces finally reconciling, however, it is set to be the site of a monumental treaty that will bring true peace to the realm.

Glanz Empire
The realm of Kaiser Oblivion, the commander of a formidable military force. His floating castle appeared suddenly on the day the peace treaty between the Duchy of Eternia and the Crystal Orthodoxy was due to be signed. Before they knew what had hit them, he had overwhelmed their combined forces and kidnapped Agnès Oblige, ushering in an era of terrible conflict.

Yunohana
This hot spring resort retains the culture and traditions of a lost kingdom which vanished centuries before. Ruled by the dignified "Lord of the Baths", it is an oasis of comfort and cordiality in a war-torn region, and a place for weary travelers and soldiers to soak their wounds and worries away.

Chompshire
A mysterious settlement built deep in the woods, far from prying human eyes. The village flourished as new residents were brought there, and many chompers have now gone forth into the wider world.

Yew Geneolgia

Yew is a brave Crystalguard knight from Gathelatio. After excelling in his studies at Al-Khampis, he returned home and joined the Crystalguard. Soon after, he became lord of the esteemed House Geneolgia after his father passed away under mysterious circumstances. He is assigned as a bodyguard to Agnès Oblige during the signing of the peace treaty between the Crystal Orthodoxy and Eternia.

Agnès Oblige

Agnès once travelled the world with a band of allies to save Luxendarc. The Crystal Orthodoxy had fallen into a shaky state during that time, but Agnès has managed to strengthen the faith after becoming its spiritual leader. She has worked tirelessly to secure a peace with the Duchy of Eternia. But with a treaty finally set to be signed, disaster has struck and Agnès has been captured!

Kaiser Oblivion

With anything but harmony on his mind, the mysterious Kaiser Oblivion’s forces launch an all-out assault during the signing of the peace treaty, and spirit Agnès Oblige away. With seemingly limitless forces at his command, the Kaiser continues to sow discord around the world from his terrifying floating fortress, the Skyhold. Just who is the man behind the mask, and what does he want?

Magnolia Arch

Magnolia is a mysterious young woman who hails from the moon – and she’s as courageous as they come. Following the sudden appearance of fearsome entities known as Ba’al, the people of the moon were wiped out, and Magnolia Arch claims to be the only survivor. She’s very friendly, though more than a little odd, and her personality can switch in an instant.

Edea Lee

Edea joined Agnès in her previous adventure after breaking away from Eternian forces. Since saving Luxendarc, she has re-joined the army of Eternia and devoted herself to rebuilding the kingdom. As head of the Eternian Ducal Guard, she has been working alongside Agnès to forge a lasting peace. After hearing of Agnès’ capture, Edea travels to the scene of the catastrophe to find out what really happened.

Tiz Arrior

Tiz was part of the group of adventurers that, along with Agnès, travelled to save Luxendarc. However, no sooner had they completed their quest than Tiz fell to the ground, as if drained of life. He was taken to a facility within Eternian Central Command where he clings tenuously to life, slumbering with no signs of awakening…

Fight for Luxendarc!

Travel the world and venture into dungeons as a team, known as a party, and take on enemies in turn-based battles. Choose commands each round to deal out damage, use items, or even escape from battle altogether if the going gets tough!

The Brave and Default and Bravely Second systems give you great control over battle, allowing you to disrupt enemy turns, guard yourself against strong attacks and build up powerful assaults of your own!

After successful battles, your party members earn experience points (EXP), allowing them to level up, grow stronger and learn new techniques. Levelling up is now easier than ever with the ‘Bring it on!’ system!

Jobs for all

Characters can be assigned jobs, each of which assists in a different area of combat. Experiment with jobs to find useful combinations of skills and abilities, then select suitable roles for each character to make the most of their talents. Some will thrive on the frontlines, while others are at their best when hanging back in support roles!

Customise and streamline

You don’t have to stick to one strategy, though. Now you can save different sets of your party’s jobs, commands, abilities and equipment, allowing you to switch between your favourite combinations with ease. Once you’ve set up your favourites, you can even instruct your party to battle on automatically until you intervene. With this new streamlined approach, building up your team is easier than ever!

You can connect with other players in several ways using Nintendo 3DS family systems’ unique communication features.
