RUMOR - Nintendo scrapped plans for cell phone games as early as the year 2000
Once again, coming from the Nikkei article that mentions NX possibly running an Android OS...
that Nintendo in 2000 was in talks with JP telco Docomo to bring their games to phones under "project Aurora”. That plan was scrapped. (3)
