Third-Party New 3DS Cover Plate brings features like a clock and thermometer

A third-party is making a Cover Plate for the New Nintendo 3DS in Japan. This isn't, however, your regular cover and the thing comes with a variety of functions. It features stuff like a clock, alarm, timer and even a thermometer. The plate, which is styled after the Game & Watch games, will set back New 3DS owners 2970 yen and reports seem to suggest that it will come out in September. The big irritation here is that the package doesn't come with a back plate, so you will have to find a separate one that fits the bill!
