GN Version 5.0

Awhile back, we learned that some of the outfit choices in Xenoblade Chronicles X were going to be removed from the North American/European versions. One of the outfits in question was for the young character Lin. Nintendo deemed the following outfit unsuitable for NA/EU gamers.

On top of that, Nintendo also removed the option to decrease/increase breast size in the character creator. This option was available in the Japanese version.

Fans have been complaining about these changes in the localized version, but Nintendo hasn't really talked about any of these matters. Today we have a new statement from Nintendo, but it doesn't really offer up any helpful information on how the decisions were made.

“Different regions make different localization choices based on a variety of factors." - Nintendo spokesperson

That's all that Nintendo has offered up on the matter, a simple blanket statement. I doubt we'll hear more from Nintendo on this, but the debate among fans is going to continue on.
