RUMOR - Super Mario Run "will require 75 megabytes of data per hour" for "constant, involved" play

When we talk about mobile games, we don't often discuss how much data is gobbled up. When it comes to Super Mario Run, it seems the game could require quite a bit of your data, depending on how you play.

I cannot find any other source for this information, as it supposedly was told directly to Apple Insider.

AppleInsider has learned that the title will require 75 megabytes of data per hour of "constant, involved" play after the initial download, and in most cases significantly less.

That's quite a hefty requirement for data, but as the blurb says, it should be significantly less in most cases. Could this amount of data be required if you're only playing Toad Rally mode for an hour straight? I could see streamed ghost data being the culprit here, but there not being much data required when you're playing the other modes.

We've reached out to Nintendo to try and get a more clear comment on this matter.
