GN Version 5.0

Two big European Pokémon TCG and video game Championship Series competitions are on the way! Players can compete in Lyon, France, in April and in Madrid, Spain, in June for major Championship Points, trophies, Pokémon TCG booster packs, and more at exciting Pokémon Special Events. For the first time this tournament season, players in France and Spain will be able to take a major step towards securing an invitation to the 2017 Pokémon World Championships on their own home turf—and players from anywhere in the world are welcome to join the international fun.

The Lyon Special takes place in Cité Centre de Congrès de Lyon on April 22–23, and the Madrid Special will be in the Casa de Campo on June 24–25. The Pokémon TCG competitions will use the Standard format, while VG players will battle using the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games. There is no entry fee to register and battle in the main events in Lyon and Madrid.

At both events, VG and TCG players will play Swiss rounds on the first day, with the best players advancing to day two. The second day will also feature a variety of exciting side events open to all attendees who want to keep playing with their favorite teams and decks.

Good luck battling at the upcoming Pokémon TCG and video game Special Events in France and Spain!
