I know HGSS has numerous English for common instances [like the pokemon name in battle etc.]

The blue-yellow Pokémon logo isn't new to Japan, the exact same "PokéPark" logo was used for the real Pokémon theme parks in 2005 and 2006.
Also, this isn't exactly the boxart. It's a poster, as you can see by taking a closer look at the "Wii" bar/system branding in the top, which is much longer than it would be on a game box. It also states the release date of the game in the lower right corner, something you wouldn't see on a game packaging.
It does seem likely that the boxart will look like this, but so far the actual boxart hasn't been revealed yet.

Wow, it looks like "Tales of" boxart. Or actually, some other RPGs use this too. It looks funny with Pokemon though!

Because when IGN compared an upcoming Nintendo announcement to this game only "not as cool an idea" that left me pretty, like.... xD

Yes, but Pokemon has it's own Japanese logo.
So it's weird to see PokePark, with the yellow+blue rather than something like this:

That would be hilarious if this was that game. Because I could see how they would be like "OH MAN, 3D BATTLING AS PIKACHU" and then like "OH, IT'S MINIGAMES TOO".

It is. But I still like the idea of the battling parts.
And some Pokemon I really like are in it, so I fail.
Then again, I haven't even bought GOOD games I've wanted recently, so the chances of me getting this if it comes out here are slim unless it goes cheap or something.

Also, I like that it says POKEPARK with the English Pokemon logo, instead of being written in Japanese.
