hmmm...Well, I think I'll go see it but I and everyone else shouldn't exactly judge it entirely on a trailer. It looks interesting. :)

Looks better than I thought it would. It might be a fun popcorn flick. I still think they could've found an actor that atleast looked a little more.... Not that Jake Gyllenhaal is a bad actor or anything. I love Donnie Darko and October Sky.

Where's the wall running or did I miss it? You can't make a Prince of Persia movie without insane acrobatics.

Godamn so Warrior Within gear AND two Thrones dagger Tail/half sand demon? :/ Plus very little pinging about like a nut case and a smart ass female lead (Rather that sarcastic but FUNNY Prince)... As a self confessed fangirl who ADORED Sands of Time I am becoming irritated.

May be a decent summer blockbuster. Probably will be one of the better video game-based films (which is saying very little, of course).

It looks more than decent to me, but I've never played the games, so I'm looking at production values over accuracy here.

Some of the better video game movies:

- Mortal Kombat (the second movie "Annihilation" was terrible)

- Tomb Raider

- Silent Hill

- Prince of Persia? (hey it looks promising, with a good lead actor and a plot that is actually based on the games)

Well, it certainly looks like the kind of movie that makes hundreds of millions of dollars. To be frank, I want it to be a great movie, but I want it to be a multi-hundred million dollar seller more so that we'll get more video game movies. In other words, I'm hoping Prince of Persia will be the "Spider-Man" of the video game movie genre.

Doesn't look half bad, I will definitely wait for reviews though before I go see it.

Looks pretty good. Another CGI fest though, which is kind of disappointing. Hopefully there's wall running and other throwbacks to the game series. People expecting the storyline or characters to be identical to the game(s) are going to be letdown (as proven by the comments above). Some things just don't translate from video game to film. Also, they're trying to open the story to a worldwide audience, not just satisfy gamers.

I think this will be a fun movie to watch since I have not played the game so I will have no idea what is going on, and all I see is a Persian action flick.

I saw a private screening of this about a month ago. It was amazing. It was also awesome to see it pre-special effects. This is the video game movie that breaks the chain, people!

This trailer showed me enough of the film's entirety, so I don't need to see it now...

Could be really good or really bad in my opinion. Looks like a good summer movie. The sand effects look awesome imo.

Looks like the same style as the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, which were all good and popular (the first one was the best).

Jerry Brukheimer has a solid track record.

Looks fantastic! This is exactly what I wanted in a Prince of Persia movie! The characters seem to be down, they've got the sand, the time.... I am so there.

Give it a chance....Video game movies have been in the dumps for a while and we all know that eventually one will break the mold and set the standard for how movies based off of videogames are handled from here on out and this could be it.

@jraics

Agreed

@tendoboy1984

Tomb Raider...no thanks . I fell asleep through that one. I will agree with the other ones. Sure Mortal Kombat Annihilation was bad, but the costumes looked pretty good.

@Chosenoneknuckles

Pretty much.

C'mon guys, you have to admit that 99% of videogame movies lack the polish that this one is getting. The team behind Pirates? While some may have tired away from the series you have to admit it was very well done. I think this movie will end up being a good summer hit, and I'm going to give it a chance.

Looks pretty cool. Could be the best film based on a game since Tomb Raider (yes, I know it had it's flaws, but was pretty good in it's own right).

@Hongo

I have to agree (even after coming late to this screening). I just hope they come up with a good movie that somehow still manages to capture the essence of the SoT trilogy.

I just wish they could make a original Prince of Persia movie. "Shadow and the Flame" would be SWEET!
