Remember when Charles Martinet updated his Twitter to let everyone know that he was recording voice work for a new Mario game that wasn't New Super Mario Bros. Wii or Super Mario Galaxy 2? It looks like GameTrailers TV host Geoff Keighley might be talking about that very game on his Twitter.
Someone introduces himself as "It's-a-me, Mario!" in a big holiday game, and it's not New Super Mario Bros Wii.
What else could Mr. Keighley be talking about? Is this game going to be revealed on GameTrailers TV? Even more interesting...this is a big holiday title?! Thanks to 8-Bit Jay for the heads up.

Story Feedback
@bonefish
Oh yeah, after what happened with the new Excitebike I guess this could be another "out of nowhere" Wiiware or DSiWare game.
Huh? I concluded that the title they were teasing turned out to be ExciteBike Wii.
"I know that Nintendo is known for revealing new projects only a few weeks before releasing..."
Say -what- now?
Oh I guess that would make sense. Is his role in the story that important though? I haven't been keeping up on Assassin's Creed II news for a while now so I wouldn't know.
Hm. Ah, well, not gonna fret over it for now, but ExciteBike has been a pleasant surprise, so I'd be happy to hear about another fun WiiWare game out of nowhere weeks before launch again.
I just hope Geoff isn't being a douche and is actually going to have something to show this week on this. Not outside of reason, either, given that they just did a Nintendo-dedicated episode where they revealed the big twist to Spirit Tracks.
Maybe GT and Nintendo are becoming a little buddy buddy right now?
For example:
Wario Land Shake: announced May 28th 2008, released July 24th 2008.
Excitebots: announced February 26th 2009, released April 20th 2009.
Another Code R: announced October 1st 2008, released February 5th 2009.
etc.
About time!
I see. I guess it depends on one's definition of the word 'few' in 'a few weeks' then. Cause to me that's several weeks to a few months, depending on which example you gave.

I never played a Mario Party title
YOU NEVER PLAYED A MARIO PARTY GAME!!!!!..... well good for you.
Nope. Had all the consoles from Ninty so far plus my PS1-2 and Pong and Segas. So I had plenty of games...But no MP
I know I'm looking WAY too much into this, but dammit I'm enjoying myself.
That actuaclly sucks for you. MP gets hated because it was milked by Nintendo, but they're actually REALLY fun with a group of friends. At least the N64 ones were.
I might test one out. Just never got that far it seems... But way too many games in the near future for me now
Well, they've already remade it for the DS, and it is available on the Virtual Console. I know Mario 64 is awesome, but it'd be a bit too much, at least for now.
I think it has to do with ACII like KirbyGCN17 said.
(But I doubt it, since Nintendo has said they use E3 to showcase games coming within the next year, give or take a month or two. I still predict Galaxy 2 in Q2, and Other M in Q3.)
THIS.
It's Assassins Creed II. It's set in Italy and it's a big holiday game that comes out this week.
That's incredibly lame.
Don' get yourselves hyped up, gang. I'll bet money it's ACII.
Edit: ahh, it seems I'm not the first one to see that. Good job!
I think it would be pretty damn awesome if it was ACII, actually. I'm hyped about that possibility.
Lame
Oh man.
Super Mario Football
I'd play that.
Unless he is actually taking the piss out of 'Super Mario'.
It's been out for a long, LONG time now! Where were... wait... Oh, right, you guys call it "soccer" :\
My money is also on Assassin's Creed 2. But we still have that mistery project you know...
You know the word "soccer" originated in England, right? We just ended up using it as the official name here...
But if it isnt AC2, then it better be a true Paper Mario sequel.
I'm guessing a Mario sports title or Mario Party 9.
Bingo. Do your research kids.
Well, the game's based in Italy isn't it?
I wish...
