"We're taking advantage of MotionPlus. It's become very natural – the movement of your arms is precisely reflected in the gameplay. Thanks to the technological advancements, we hope the gameplay can be more accessible to people." - Eijii Aonuma
Mr. Aonuma also once again discussed the idea of playing around with the typical Zelda formula of dungeon/field/dungeon/field...
"We're making efforts regarding the total flow of the Zelda game. So far, the basic flow of the Zelda games is you're exploring a field, you go to a dungeon, you conquer it and return to the field. We're looking at altering that traditional flow. That's all I can share, and I can't say more until E3 next year."

But what am I talking about... ? It's Zelda, so it's going to be awesome!
@WiiLikeSportz
Don't be so sure though. More information is probably a sure thing, but maybe they'll hold on revealing a trailer because of what happened with Twilight Princess.
Personally, I'd rather have this game mostly unspoiled.
PS Please lets hold off the E3 talk already, because I'm already getting ideas about what just might happen... Nintendo's conference would start out confirming Zelda Wii will trailer and all, then we get to see Vitality Sensor unveiling with software, on to the montage of titles for the rest of 2010, then it ends on a surprise announcement of Retro Studios latest project (if its already not Zelda Wii)... damn 2010 is going to be a good year!
They talk about motion plus reflecting arms movment and suddenly everybody is interested!!!!
Why there isnt more games out there trying to do this????
Its what we expected from Wii Games from day one!!!!
What da hell is happening here?
Dont you all think is A LITTLE BIT STRANGE that everybody get excited when we heard about Motion Plus games...
Yet there´s only ONE 3rd party game coming out that uses the device (and i mean "REALLY" uses it)??????
Can't wait for the E3 unveiling.
Since the speculation that the Master Sword is personified in that fairy woman, I think this will be another "origin" story: The origin of the Master Sword. It most likely takes place before Ocarina of Time, which is supposedly the very first Zelda chronologically.
The fairy woman grants her power to the Master Sword, enabling Link to finally wield the Blade of Evil's Bane for the first time. This sets off the events found in Ocarina of Time and subsequent games.
Ask Doc Brown (Back to the Future).
If time travel was possible, where are all the people from the future in our time period?
That is the main reason why I don't believe in time travel, or any possibilities of it. If it were possible, then there would be people from the future visiting us already.
I hope they don't bloe it off by making Link exclusively right handed...
Did WSR provide a way to choose between left and right handed swordplay [cos that may well be your answer]?
They felt like very natural structures in Okami. In Zelda, they're just these big, mysteriously abandoned caverns. They were fun to play through, but they didn't feel very... organic.
You held the remote with both hands when playing fencing in WSR so I don't think it gave any hand options for that. I think it did for others though (like table tennis).
Anyway, way for MotionPlus Zelda!
M+ Zelda is only logical.. but more than a year away so meh..
You live in a dungeon? What?
That doesn't sound very "Zelda" to me.
i'm really excited about this game , really hope they take a page out of their own book on zelda ds and add somekind of multiplayer , shortburst play. I'll get it for sure
Okie dokeys. I'm right handed so I've never had to pay any attention to such options.
*Goes on to wonder if his SMG2 Summer and Zelda Wii Winter predictions will have any merit*
As long as it has the same spirit as the other games (the fantastic gameplay, full of freedom, yet coherent).
It's true that the dungeon-field mechanic needs a fresh coat of paint, but they'd better not go into the sand-box trap.
I was trying to be humorous :p..
I meant because he said they would change the usual flow of the series so I said the opposite.
But honestly I'm drawing a blank as to what they have in mind.. Maybe not all of the boss fights will take place in dungeons and more action will happen on Hyrule field.
There still be dungeons but like the temple of the ocean king if you return with new iteams new areas will open. also zelda needs to take a page from chrono trigger and have diferrent endings based on what you do in the game.
(maybe a karma system?) also co-op and multiplayer vs(see fsa nsmb wii)
As for the change on the flow... I think they could mix field and dungeon for example a dark forest or something that you need to go trough to access new areas and it would have puzzles, new itens and even bossess.. Like most of the RPGs out there... I Think it will rock!
COME TO ME NEW ZELDA!
Just because you dont have the Master Sword until later on, doesnt mean you will be using a wooden sword or other obscure weapons... In pretty much every Zelda game you just use a standard sword until the Master Sword comes along. It will probably be no different.
Also, Im not sure how you could think Zelda Wii is a Retro Studios project...
Maybe it's because I've grown up some, but I can never get all that excited about a game until I actually SEE something on it. Like footage. Like, concrete details.
i'd like to see the magic return and do almost an MMO type of thing, were link is forced (if the player wants to that is), to run around and do battle to level it up.
that would add a new (yet very old) twist to the game. the magic in zelda 2 was fun to use, and even some of the magical things used in later games were fun as well.
and actually having things outside the main quest to do would be nice. something deeper and more fun that rounding up chickens or goats.
i'd like to see an animal crossing style game with link (not the full game, but just for extra fun when you're not battling bad guys). bring back the shovel to.
the biggest issue with hyrule is that it's pretty straight and narrow, you do what you do to win the game and that's it. there is no real play, or extra fun that goes on. planing trees, changing the land, the look, the feel. it's all cookie cutter, this is how it is and that's all.
1. I don't mind backtracking. It was in the original NES game, and it was fun back then as it is now.
2. A better variety of locales and dungeon themes. The forest temple, the fire temple, the ice temple, the ancient temple....seems like these temples show up in every Zelda game. Let's mix it up a bit this time.
3. Flying. We've seen Link traverse the land via Epona. We've seen him traverse the waters via the King of Red Lions. And in Spirit Tracks he has his train. Link's never really traveled the skies though. How about giving Link an animal to ride the skies with, like a winged dragon.
4. Better weapon variety please.
5. Not since Wind Waker has the story/narrative been so good. Work on the story, and narrate a tale that actually makes players want to find out more and keep on playing.
5. I think the relationship between Link and Zelda should be explored deeper. He should have a better motive for saving her, not just because he is a hero or because he possesses the Triforce of Courage.
6. Ramp up the difficulty. Seriously. Zelda games are some of the easiest games around. It would be great if the puzzle creators of Professor Layton helped with the puzzles in Zelda. Also, the overall difficulty of boss battles needs to be worked on. When you can defeat a boss in less than 4 minutes, there's a problem.
7. Set the game in a different era. Seems like all the Zelda games of the last 10 years take place around Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker. Give us new locations, a new Hyrule, a new legend.
8. No Tingle. Please. Pretty please.
I think they should try a temple were you need to keep moving because poison agian(like totok from phg)
As much as I hate tingle we need him in game set before windwaker(with the hero of time) the link's an adult, other wise the story make no since(agian reffering to legend of the fairy*)
*I'm not explain this again if don't know, then look it up.
If you do know then you see my point.
Windwaker's the only good zelda story since '03 I would disagree, Tp,Tmc,Fsa,even phg had a good story so I don't see your point.
