5.5 for Fragile? What!?

Also, I hope they tightened up the controls for Scribblenauts 2.

Alright! I'll actually buy Scribblenauts 2 if they get the controls right.

Oh, and great score for HG/SS! I'll be picking up Soul Silver eventually.

To be honest, I liked Scribblenauts but i didnt love it. I guess its just not my type of game. A new Earthworm Jim intrigues me though. And damn thats a harsh review score for Fragile. I was expecting better than that.

I've been looking forward to Fragile too long to let this, or any score keep me from getting it. Though I'd love to read what the reviewer had to say.

Nintendo Life just called Bit Trip Runner the best of the series... I wonder what's up with that and this Hmmm...

I'm also getting Fragile... way too long a wait to let it go now because of some scores...

Scribblenauts wasn't the greatest game, but if they truthfully improve the controls, then I'd be up for a second outing. I'm extremely happy they're getting rid of the Par system, and how they can possibly add 10,000 more words is beyond me, and I'm looking forward to what crazy items they'll add (Warner Bros. characters? How about Nintendo characters!).

I'm REALLY disappointed with Fragile and Sakura Wars scores. I expected Calling to get a bad score. Satisfied with Infinite Space, Pokémon and WarioWare though. I'm definitely getting those three games this month.

Of everything in the issue, I'm looking most forward to the NSMBW interview and Scribblenauts 2 reveal.

Anyone who's played the Japanese version of Fragile can tell you this game sucked. The combat and controls are terrible.

Get the controls right and you've got my money with Scribblenauts 2.

Otherwise, I won't get fooled again.

I hear that Fragile has some camera issues and the RPG aspect of the gameplay is sort of weak. I'm assuming that is why it was rated low.

That doesn't bother me, though; those aren't the things I'm looking forward to the game for. I'm most looking forward to the human drama and the beautiful, sad vision of a world void of humanity and slowly being reclaimed by nature. I'm still extremely excited for this game and will be picking it up regardless of scores like this.

Very cool news about Scribblenauts 2, though! Hopefully they'll be focusing on really improving the controls for this one. That was the biggest detractor for me on the first one.

I hear that Fragile has some camera issues and the RPG aspect of the gameplay is sort of weak. I'm assuming that is why it was rated low.

So, 5.5 for the Gameplay, and over 9000 for the game's atmosphere and art, we get a score over 9005.5/10. We do.

I'm getting Fragile EITHER WAY. I don't care about any stupid score of a magazine, and I also don't care about its reasoning. I'm sure it doesn't have one.

Also, yay for Jim remake! Haven't been into the series, and this just gets me plus reasons to buy a DSi!

Scribblenauts 2? Uhhhhhhh I have a bad feeling, but they could improve it. My issue was not just the controls, but how flat the concept fell.

"hey! You made Cthulhu appear! Yay!.... now what?"

@ZaxCG2

You have not even read the review! The number tells you nothing.

I'm still buying Sakura Wars.

Oh, come on! Link 'n' Launch is worth of way more than 'Recommended', let alone 'Hmmm...'; whoever is doing the DSiWare reviews really needs to wake up and play the games for a chance.

Good DS news; good stuff!

Sakura Wars seems fair, it's a PS2 port.

Scribblenauts 2 should have D-pad controls. >_>

Hmmm...? for Bit.Trip Runner? Get the F out.

Fragile is a beautiful game with a very very very depressing story. However its gameplay is not satisfying at all, it's almost nothing. Might as well have been an anime or movie.

Also, I can't wait till I get that cover. So glorious.

Looks like the Scribblenauts 2 rumor was true. I just hope the controls get overhauled. I traded Scribblenauts in, because of how frustrated the controls made me. xD I hear it will be on Wii and DS this time. First Portal 2 is announced, now Scribblenauts 2! Awesome.

edit:

okay, found out

why is everyone so b**** about bit trip? what if, *GASP* the game isnt as good as you thought it was?

no, no, it must just be that np sucks

for the record, i havent felt any of the series deserved the 6 bucks, its a really cool series, at first, but it gets old quickly, like the art style games.

Story, atmosphere, and exploration -- that's all I want from Fragile, and it looks like that's what I will receive, according to everything I've seen and read about it.

Yay for improved controls in Scribblenauts 2! I didn't think the game was all that great anyway, outside of the concept, but the controls really spoiled it for me. >_<

Great reviews for Infinite Space, Shin Megami Tensei and WarioWare. Epic review for Pokémon. The VC games sound interesting (even Alex Kidd). Still getting Fragile for the beautiful story, musical score and audio, visuals and concept. Scriblenauts 2 sounds interesting and the artwork looks gorgeous. Played the first, but wasn't sold on the concept. Maybe this one will be better.
