Looks great!! As if it was remade from Nintedo itself! But I think Samus moves (especially shoots) a bit too fast... or is it just me?

Oh my sex. This looks awesome. Yes, Metroid II is very underrated. I just hope it isn't too easy. It looks like they added Super Missiles and Power Bombs which were never in the game.

That is tight. Nintendo should just give these people jobs.

No one cares that he ruined the part where the creature disguised itself as the ball?

I mean.. where's the fun in that?

:P it looks awesome though!
love the motion blur haha

Agree - the most underrated Metroid game. I loved it, and would gladly buy a remake.

i couldn't get into the game, but this remake actually looks playable, that is, unlike the original game.

nintendo should either do this themselves, or simply buy this and publish it.

personally, the fan made stuff can in fact many times, rival the main big budget developers crap.

@atlantis1982

Precisely my thoughts. This seems like just the thing a big game corporation would try to stop.

I hope they don't though. It looks awesome and seems to fix all of the problems of what was already a great game.

It would be pretty awesome if they would send an offer to buy and then release on the VC instead of a cease and desist letter.

Taking all bets on how long it'll be before Nintendo shuts this down. I give it one to two months.

Shame though, because this looks to be fan-fu¢king-tastic. I loved Metroid 2. That Queen Metroid was far and away the most difficult final boss I've ever fought in an adventure game.

This fan project has been on the makes for more than one year now. It was already well know in a lot of forums, I don't think Nintendo would squash this now. Also, it is being made by just ONE dude, who is Argentinian, Viva Latinamerica :D

It's a nice effort, but I wish they wouldn't mess with the music. Transcribing and updating the instruments is fine. Screwing with the tempo and mood of the song however, does not fly with me.
