Yesterday we told you that a few retailers are taking preorders for Modern Warfare 2 on Wii. Above you can see just one of the promo sleeves that are being used on display cases in stores. Obviously it's not made by anyone involved with the game, but many a retailer believes the game is heading the Wii's way.

..............WaW?
I think we are in our own WaW boat here, with a few others...I think WaW is an absolutely great FPS on the Wii and is in the same category as The Conduit...yes, I own both games and feel 100% comfortable making that comment.
You now know there is a potential market, so start trying to cultivate it. It may not be the 'easy' thing to do, but it might be one of the smartest things you do.
nothing has been confirmed which is why everyone is getting antsy
Um what?
I hear World at War was quite good, I dont see how they wouldnt improve.
Cod 3 sucked.
Cod WaW improved
if this is true, how would it be any different.
lmfao
We knew about WaW Wii's existence long before now.
There's no reason to keep MW2 quiet like this still unless, like the rumored Brutal Legend Wii port, it's lagging behind in development and isn't going well.
IW sets an image for what they want the game to be like. And they don't want to see it tarnished. I strongly agree. If you want this, get an Xbox360, PS3, or strong computer.
Holds its own? I'm going to have to disagree; its only real merit was its controls, and a good control scheme isn't quite enough to make up for more than half of the multiplayer modes and some of the maps missing, no Nazi Zombies, matchmaking being a mess, laaaaaaaag, lack of a decent online infrastructure, the less than inspiring visuals, removal of co-op, or entire campaign missions missing. Of course, this is IMO also. I just can't see how a game that's so gimped could possibly hold its own. It's a pretty bad port.
I'll support a Modern Warfare 2 Wii port if it keeps the multiplayer modes (all of them!). I understand the online may not be as robust (no party system or LAN or what have you) but the control system could easily make up for small caveats like those. Just give us something that isn't a pathetic port and I'm onboard.
EDIT: nevermind....
W@W sold very well on the system, so why not?
...what?
It IS a crap port compared to the other versions, that's not even an opinion but common sense. And how in the hell would you know it "holds" its own compared to the other version, despite being being a lazy port with half the modes? Because you haven't even played the other version, that's why.
@redhatdrawler
WaW on the Wii sold a million copies because...what other online FPS was someone going to buy besides WaW, that PSP port? lol. Almost any game will sell a lot when it's one of the only options you have available.
I already know MW2 may not have as many modes and DLC as the PS3/360/PC counterparts.. But I will support Activision every step of the way if they seriously consider releasing it to the Wii.
and if Wiispeak comes out for the game.. That would be great! )(:
Please guys.. if you liked WaW Wii, support Activision in getting this game released for the Wii. Go to your local gaming store and ask if preorders are available and put 5 bucks down!
If you don't want to buy this game.. You can always get your 5 bucks back.
Don't worry. Treyarch are making CoD7. That'll probably come out on Wii also.
