Better than I expected for Cursed Mountain, honestly. Hopefully more reviews come in to prove me wrong.

the "slow pacing" is adressed more clearly in the full review. they're saying that there is almost nothing going on at certain times but that this especially adds to the lonely and harsh atmosphere the game tries to convey.

so it's not really a "negative" minus in that sense. it just might put some more action-loving people off

@D-e-f-

Makes sense. I'm a sucker for atmosphere, though, so I guess I can personally bump it up a few points.

The controls seemed really sluggish on videos. They showed too much battle for my taste too. having a great atmosphere is awesome though. I hope I like it.

I just hope it turns out alright. Also, look at the WSR review. That's the only bad thing they can think of the game? Uuuh...

"+ absolutely no load-times during a chapter"

Awesome, I love when games are streamlined like this (take note Valve, with all the development time Episode 3 has had I'm hoping for no more mid-level load screens).

"+ high quality (german) localization"

This is actually expected because the company that made the game is Austrian.

"+ tight atmosphere"

Good, atmosphere is really important in survival-horror. The atmosphere is definitly there because I can feel it in the videos.

"- "slow" pacing, sluggish controls"

From what I read above, the slow pacing is actually a positive and a negative. Sluggish controls is a complaint I've heard about in some previews. As long as the controls still work for the most part, I'll try to not let it bother me.

Great review for CM! The "slow" pacing won't bother me one bit. Though I hope the controls aren't too "sluggish." That might get kinda annoying (especially if they get sluggish during a battle which results in death).

@BigLord

that's not the only negative thing they can think of. that's the overall + / - list. they devoted a section to each game where they critized them individually.

@Eternal Rain

the german localization could still suck a lot if they had gotten bad voice actors :)
