A look back at the early days of Konami
An interview took place in 2003 that featured two Konami programmers, both of which worked with the company during the NES days. Konami has grown a great deal since then, and the early days of game programming were much, much different.
- Early Nintendo games were programmed by 2 or 3 people
- The Konami code was created because the programmer who made it couldn't beat Gradius
- Konami employees were big fans of Zelda and Dragon Quest
- Goemon's Ebisumaru (Dr. Yang) is based on an actual Konami employee
