Capcom gives three reasons why Resident Evil: Revelations was made for 3DS

Wondering why Capcom decided to go with the 3DS for Resident Evil: Revelations? Here's the three reasons that Capcom producer, Masachika Kawata offered up during his GDC panel.

- The graphical specs had rapidly increased over past hardware
- Cultivating a new market
- Creating new types of entertainment

These are the three elements that served as motivation for bringing Resident Evil to the 3DS. I'd say things worked out quite well!
