Super Mario 3D Land uses 8-way movement
If you were hoping for full analog control over Mario and the gang in Super Mario 3D World, you're out of luck. Just like Super Mario 3D Land, the titles retains the 8-direction movement system. I was never bothered by it on the 3DS, so I'm sure I'll be find with Wii U.
