American McGee will consider Wii U for Unity projects
A portion of a 4CR interview with American McGee...
4cr: Since you’re developing with Unity, are consoles releases on the Wii U or PS4 something you’re considering as potential stretch goals for the campaign?
AM: We can of course consider this as an option. The same as we can consider pushing the game to be a prime-time network television action series. The issue is that, like with network television, the consoles you’ve mentioned are not open platforms. In order to have our games published to those devices means we’ll need to work with the platform owners to secure a publishing agreement. Historically, independent developers have struggled to get their content published on these proprietary platforms… So, we can try, but we can’t guarantee we’ll get accepted.
