GoNintendo 'End of Day' thought - How's Super Mario 3D World look now?

Fun Nintendo Direct today. New details on already announced games, and even a surprise reveal. Can't complain about that! Now after all the work today, I'm definitely ready for bed. See you in a few, short hours!

I don't know about you, but I think that's a fantastic trailer for a rather fantastic looking game. Yes, I was sad to see that Nintendo was going this direction with the first 3D Mario and Wii U, rather than going in a Galaxy direction. I wasn't upset as most were, but indeed a little down. Going hands-on with the game awhile back certainly changed my feelings, but this trailer helped push the game to the top of my most-wanted list.

The one thing I think 3D Land/World really show is a sense of fun. It seems like the devs are out to make some silly/crazy things, and anything is game as long as it's fun. A trailer like the one above just screams fun to me. It's so vibrant and silly! So many power-ups and all sorts of wacky elements. Of course, the sprawling, multi-tiered levels don't hurt either!

As today's Nintendo Direct was going on, I noticed quite a change of opinion on Twitter. Lots of people were saying that this trailer sold them on the game, where they were very indifferent before. I don't know why it took Nintendo this long to crank out a trailer that built up some buzz, but it's better late than never!

How about you guys and gals? Did today's trailer turn this title into a holiday must-have for you? Is it a Wii U system seller? Are you eager to hop in with 3 friends and enjoy the insane action? Leave a comment and let us know!
