A closer look at the Earthbound/Beach Boys connection

Last week, we put up a feature that detailed how Earthbound included samples from the Beach Boys’ song Deirdre. That post lead a few Earthbound fans to go deeper into the rabbit hole, and now we’ve learned about just how far the connection goes. It turns out that a few songs in Earthbound are made entirely out of samples from the same Beach Boys’ song. No wonder Nintendo is so worried about putting this game out on the Virtual Console!
