Jerel Dulay, Luke Vincent, and William Kage may not be names you recognize, but they’re all working hard on video game projects. Why are these three people of particular note? They happen to be the final devs to bring games to the Wii U and 3DS.

March 31st, 2022 was the deadline for developers to submit Wii U and 3DS projects to Nintendo for approval. The three devs above snuck in just under the wire, and will release the final games available on either platform.

Sure, many of us have long since moved on from the Wii U and 3DS, but that doesn’t make these last projects any less interesting. If anything, they’ll attract more attention than usual just for being the last official games these platforms will ever see.

Automaton Lung, Fragrant Story, and the Silver Falls series will see the Wii U and 3DS off, and hopefully they’ll do so in grand style. If you’d like to learn more about these games, or more importantly, the developers behind them, you can check out IGN’s interview here.

I didn't know the deadline had passed. I wish them well. I wonder will games that were supposed to come to these platforms still happen, like Battle Princess Madelyn for Wii U. That's a game that springs to mind.

It says here that it's cancelled, but I thought the developers said more recently that they would still try to put it on Wii U.
