We recently shared notes on Overwatch’s latest content update, but eagle-eyed fans have noticed a chance that wasn’t mentioned in the official patch notes.
It appears Blizzard has altered Zarya’s Arctic and Siberian Front skins. Both skins used to feature the letter Z on Zarya’s upper-left breast. The Z has now been removed from both skins.
While not confirmed by Blizzard, it seems this was done due to the letter’s use as a symbol of Russian nationalism. We’ll see if Blizzard ends up sharing a comment on the letter’s removal, and we’ll bring that statement to you if/when it becomes available.
