ARK: Survival Evolved's Switch code being rewritten from the ground-up, 'Ultimate Survivor Edition' coming to Switch in September 2022
Major improvements ark on the way!
The “Ultimate Survivor Edition” of ARK, which includes all of the game’s DLC expansion packs bundled in, is coming to Nintendo Switch in September 2022, developer Studio Wildcard has announced. It will be available both physically and digitally for $49.99. Scorched Earth will be included with base game at launch, and the Aberration, Extinction, and Genesis Parts 1 & 2 expansions are being dished out one at a time in two month intervals.
On top of this, the entirety of ARK: Survival Evolved is getting a major revamp for everyone in September. Functionality, graphics, and optimization are set to be improved, as all of the game’s code has been rewritten from the ground-up by a contracted “talented third party developer.” Don’t fret, as all previous save data and progress won’t be lost with the update.

- Custom server support powered by Nitrado server networks.
- “Young Explorers” Mode: Journey through the epochs in this new educational mode. Explore ARK island to discover & learn about the amazing prehistoric creatures that inspired the game. Appropriate for even the smallest survivors!
The ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition is completely updated with all of the content and functionality from the home console versions of the game, adding thousands of hours of gameplay!

2y agoThis was hot trash when it released on Switch 3 and a half years ago. I don't know if Switch owners will give it another chance. It has a review average of 29% on Metacritic.

Hot trash indeed. I'm guessing this is going to end up being a wasted effort to try to bring people back to Ark.
