Doug Bowser gives 2022 commencement speech at University of Utah
Shout out to Donkey Kong!
Doug Bowser is a University of Utah alum, and he was asked back to give the commencement speech for the graduating class of 2022.
Bowser may be known as the president of Nintendo of America nowadays, but he was nothing more than a University of Utah graduate decades ago. He eventually moved on to spend time at Proctor & Gamble, and then eventually wound up at the halls of Nintendo.
In his speech, Bowser shares details on his journey from the University of Utah all the way to Nintendo. He also relates life itself to the world of video games, specifically calling out Donkey Kong. It’s a quick, enjoyable commencement speech, which is more than you can say for most!

2y agoDefinitely an enjoyable commencement speech, better than any I've heard. Been quite a while since I've attended school, but I think the lessons he talks about here are applicable no matter the age. There's always more barrels to jump and ladders to climb. Surely that must mean we'll get another Donkey Kong game someday.
