Playmates reveals Street Fighter vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figurine sets
Donatello wins EVERY SINGLE TIME
If you’re an older gamer and fighting game fan, chances are you’ve played a Street Fighter and TMNT game in your day. There were plenty to choose from, and Playmates is capitalizing on that history by bringing these two iconic franchises together for some pretty amazing figurine sets.
The official Street Fighter vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character sets have been revealed, and there’s four of them in all. Two of them are set for release this year, and we’ve marked those sets below.
- Ryu vs. Leonardo (2022)
- Chun-Li vs. Michelangelo (2022)
- Guile vs Raphael
- Ken Masters vs. Donatello
Each figure in the collection stands six inches tall and is highly poseable with multiple points of articulation – from ball joints at the head, shoulders and hips, to split joint elbows and knees, and at the wrist, ankles, upper arms, and thighs.
No word on pricing or retailers yet, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for that info.

As someone in the toy industry, it's absolutely 100% a way to sell you two figures instead of one. Very common practice. It might not be entirely as cynical as you perceive though. The molds for these kinds of figures are absurdly expensive to produce and you have to make A LOT of figures before the price comes down. They probably figure Street Fighter is not as white hot popular as their TMNT line right now, so they can afford to make and sell the Street Fighter figures as long as they push them alongside their very successful TMNT stuff and therefore juice the sales to the point where it's worth it to even produce the Street Fighter figures to begin with.

2y agoI like Street Fighter. I like the Ninja Turtles. But why sell them together as a set like this instead of making good, individual sets? Is it all a scheme to sell people two figures instead of one? Or eight figures if all you wanted was the four Turtles?
