Nintendo Switch Online members have two new SNES games and one new NES game to play.

For North American and European members, Congo’s Caper and Rival Turf! were announced for Nintendo Switch Online for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. For these users, Pinball was also announced for the NES portion of the service.

For Japanese members, Umihara Kawase and Rushing Beat (which is the same game as Rival Turf, just a different title for Japanese players) was released for the Super Famicom Nintendo Switch Online. For the Famicom portion of Nintendo Switch Online, Pinball was also announced.

I (Elizabeth) am a news writer here. I enjoy all genres of games, but RPG's are my favorite. I try to play a little bit of everything, leading to an excessive backlog :). I view games as an experience to enjoy as well as an interesting study on how the medium evolves. @OnettQueen

Rival Turf is pretty good.

Still no Super Mario RPG? in 2022?!?

SquareEnix must really not want to work with them here, since we have nothing from them. Others make sense like FF1-6 and DQ1-3, since they are trying to sell them elsewhere, but no SMRPG is a headscratcher for sure.

I really enjoy all 3 of these, especially Congo's Caper, so I'm pretty pleased, and man I feel like I'm the only one. Everywhere else, people are pretty upset its not whatever licensed and/or near immpossible to negotiate game they want. I'm pretty content with whatever, really.

If you don't have money left on your account you can simply change your region in the profile section of https://accounts.nintendo[dot]com
Just select Japan, and then connect to the eShop. You can now download the Japanese app. Once done you can revert back to your original region and still have access to the Japanese app nonetheless.

@bakfug

Well it took Nintendo long enough to get Earthbound to SNES so I wonder if that will eventually happen...

Thanks for the heads up! Getting rid of all my money might prove difficult but I'll try.

@socar

I figure at this point they are saving Super Mario RPG for some special occasion.

@socar

I imagine that if Super Mario RPG ever were to be added, the announcement would be saved for a Direct. Similar to how the Earthbound games were unveiled.
