Sonic Frontiers trailer causes Zelda: Breath of the Wild to trend
Zelda: Breath of the Wicked Wild
The first gameplay trailer for Sonic Frontiers released today, and it got gamers talking quite a bit. The trailer itself ran Sonic up the Twitter charts to the #5 trending spot overall, and that popularity got another game trending along with it.
Sonic Frontiers is an open-world title that features massive landscapes and lush backdrops. Just discussion of the game’s open-world nature during its inital reveal led to comparisons to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but today’s gameplay only cemented that similarity for a lot of fans.
Not surprisingly, a ton of people started to bring up the Zelda: Breath of the Wild discussion once again on Twitter, which caused that title to trend alongside Sonic. Of course, we’ll need to see a lot more gameplay before we know just how similar the two titles are, but as it stands right now, there’s definitely something to the comparison.
