Just yesterday, Nintendo announced that they’d be opening pre-orders for Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Special Edition via My Nintendo at some point today. That time is now, as pre-orders for the package just opened!

Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Special Edition is priced at $90 and includes the following:

  • Physical edition of the game
  • SteelBook® game case
  • Special Edition box featuring art by Masatsugu Saito
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collected Works, a full-color, 250-page hardcover art book

Nintendo has also announced that just as in Europe, Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Special Edition is going to ship in two parts. The physical edition of the game will ship on or around its release date of July 29, 2022. The SteelBook game case, Special Edition box, and art book, won’t ship until Fall 2022.

If you’re okay with getting the Special Edition in two different pieces, you can grab your pre-order here.

I've been trying for 40 minutes now. The store is claiming I'm not logged in but My Nintendo works and I even got extra platinum coins for fishing. Now it has a message saying The My Nintendo Store is currently undergoing maintenance. Please check back soon, and thank you for your understanding.

The Special Edition is a complete mess in Europe, an expensive mess as well. I think I'm done in general with collector's editions anymore, they're too expensive for the "extras" that they contain. In fairness the contents of this Special Edition are good.

People shouldn't put up with this Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Special Edition in Europe. They can't even guarantee that they'll ship the game itself on time, never mind waiting months more for the steel book game case, Special Edition box and art book.
