Sonic games are well known for their fantastic soundtracks and fans are eager to know what they are going to sound like in the newest Sonic Origins collection.

We recently got an update on what’s going on with the original soundtrack for Sonic 3 & Knuckles’ in Sonic Origins.

Unfortunately for the fans of the original game, not all of the original sounds can be used for the release of the collection and it’s stated that video game composer Jun Senoue has been working on adapting the original music composed in 1993 and reproducing it by using the same sound chip from the Sega Genesis.

Here’s the full quote by Katie Chrz:

What’s interesting here is that she states that Senoue has been working on the tracks composed in 1993, meaning that they may come from the prototype version of the game and not from the official release from 1994.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to hearing this new adapted soundtrack? Keep your ears sharp when Sonic Origins releases on June 23rd, 2022!

Thanks to Andreslop24 for the heads up!

I had a feeling this was going to happen. This is down to Michael Jackson composing some of the soundtrack I bet. I've seen others previously talking on Youtube saying how Sonic 3 hasn't been released in any form since Michael died this month back in 2009. Maybe there's some legal issue or dispute with his Estate.

Welp...there goes the incentive to buy it on the Switch seeing that most would prefer to get the modded PC version for the music...
