Modder adds Sonic 'Green Hill Zone' track to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Sonic has his own kart racing series, but the Blue Blur has never appeared in Mario Kart in any way, shape, or form. While that official collab will likely never happen, one expect modder out there has brought the world of Sonic to Mario Kart all on his own.

Modder Squadaloo has turned his attention to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with a new custom track, and it’s a real beauty. Squadaloo has taken Sonic’s classic Green Hill Zone and turned it into a twisting, turning, and looping track for Mario and the gang to race around on! He even threw a playable version of Sonic into the mod for good measure!

Green Hill Zone seems like an absolutely perfect fit for a track in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, especially with the loops and twists that you’d normally find in a Sonic game. It makes you think Nintendo teaming up with SEGA for a kart collab would make for a fantastic experience!
