SquidShock Studios previously announced that Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus, a Metroidvania title, would be heading to Switch. This announcement was made thanks to a successful Kickstarter project. Now the team behind that game is expanding with some very talented developers.

You’re a Celestial Blossom. Your earring is your weapon. Enter a graceful flow state with acrobatic aerial combat while exploring a deep mysterious world based on Japanese folklore. SquidShock has enlisted the help of Milton “DoctorM64” Guasti as an Associate Designer, Esteban “DruidVorse” Criado as the QA Lead, and Robert “Sephazon” Maloney as the Production and Publishing Lead. These developers last worked together on the Metroid fan game Another Metroid 2 Remake.

Considering the trio’s expertise with the Metroid franchise, it’s easy to see why they’ve being brought in to help out with metroidvania! Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus is slated to come to Switch sometime in 2023.
