Japanese software/hardware sales for June 27th to July 3rd, 2022

Wondering how the Switch held up in Japan this week? Switch titles made up 9 of the top 10 best-selling software. Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Set has debuted in first place, selling over 100k units in its first week on the market, with Nintendo Switch Sports following right behind it in second. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes has been pushed down to third from its first place debut last week. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe holds strong in fourth, while Kirby and the Forgotten Land maintains its fifth place spot.

As for hardware, the Switch OLED held the top spot, selling an impressive 43,789 additional units. This is followed by the standard Switch in second (28,063) and the Switch Lite in third (12,429).

That's a good debut for Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Set. The DLC on its own is €40, they're selling this set for €70, so it's much better value. The game on its own is €60 on the eShop.
