Sonic Origins has been out for a bit, and the reception to the collection has been mixed. There are certainly some high points, along with a number of low points as well. I guess it all depends on how much you love classic Sonic games and how sensitive you are to minor details.
In the trailer above, you’ll see some praise and other accolades from various gaming outlets. Obviously, SEGA is looking to share the more positive sentiments about Sonic Origins, so that’s what you’re going to see here. Even with the complaints floating around, there are still people who’ve found Sonic Origins to be a highly enjoyable experience.

2y agoIt's a bit deceptive that thumbnail alone. It makes it look like it's a great game, averaging 85%. But as you say, the reception has been mixed.
TBH there is nothing really wrong/deceptive with this. Pretty much all accolade trailers do this practise and focus on the high scores in their post game advertisements.
Now, I’m not saying Origins is the perfect package - as there’s defiantly flaws, but i do find it quite disingenuous to hear it had a mixed reception (which has been a common misconception from Media outlets recently).
Metacritic alone has Origins rest between 72 and 78 (pending on the system) which means the game has generally favourable reviews.
