The gang behind Boundary Break has been working on a different sort of video series lately, and it’s been absolutely fascinating. The team takes a look at the various regional differences between Nintendo’s Japanese and English releases, and you’d be surprised at just how many changes there are. Some big, some little, all of them interesting.

In the latest installment of this series, we get to see the tweaks, removals, and minor changes that Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 underwent in their release for the West. From altered sprite work to completely different voiceovers, there’s a lot of unique tweaks that you most likely don’t know about. I was certainly in the dark about more than a few!

It was so stupid to get rid of the champagne bottle. Like you can even tell what's in the bottle or a kid would care! Nintendo of America's censorship was ridiculous in the SNES era.
