Famitsu has released its estimated weekly sales charts for physical game software and hardware sales in Japan. This week’s list sees Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak taking its third week in the first-place spot, Nintendo Switch Sports scoring second place for the fifth straight week, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe finishing another lap in third, and much more.

Perhaps most notably, however, is the top 30 in its entirety. It’s not uncommon to see Nintendo Switch games to sweep the top ten and even take up over 2/3 of the titles in the overall list, but this week is a full house for Switch.

All 30 of the top 30 are Nintendo Switch titles, a feat which is exceedingly rare for any console– though Nintendo has been the only company to do it since at least 1988 when the original Famicom system held all 30 spots.

Since then, Nintendo has had the only consoles to take all 30 spots in any one week, with it happening a handful of times in 2021.

Take a look at the full list below, including total lifetime sales for each game, via Gematsu:

That's a bit embarrassing for Sony. Not the first time and won't be the last. The sales themselves are embarrassing as well though. Barely over 1,000 sold copies gets a place on the top 30. And only the top 2 games sold over 10,000 copies each for the week. Not even 2,000 copies sold is good enough all the way up to 19th place, and less than 5,000 all the way to 7th place. And 2/3 of the games in the chart are from Nintendo.

I did a quick calculation, the sales of all 30 games in the chart for the week is ~140,000. There's been countess Nintendo games alone that have sold this in their sleep and hundreds of thousands of copies more in a week.
