Fortnite's latest update introduces "Avian Ambush Week" and more

Fortnite has been updated to Version 19.40, which includes some hotfixes, but more important, it introduces Avian Ambush Week. It seems that chickens are now the top of the animal food chain, and now they’re out to ruin your day.

Chickens are now more common in the game, and if you decided to get in a tussle with one, they’re going to fight back. Instead, if you decide to befriend a chicken, you can now use it as a weapon. Holding a chicken will let you peck at opponents with the chicken’s beak! Finally, you’ll now spot glowing chickens around the map, and hunting these suckers down will net you some loot.

Avian Ambush Week is now live, and runs until March 15th, 2022, at 8:59 AM ET.
