PAC-MAN just celebrated his 40th anniversary back in May of 2022, and it looks like some of his biggest adventures are still ahead of him. Bandai Namco and Wayfarer Studios have just announced that they’re teaming up to release a PAC-MAN live-action movie, although details on the project are scarce.

What we know right now is that the movie is based on an original idea from Chuck Williams (Sonic the Hedgehog) of Lightbeam Entertainment. Justin Baldoni, Manu Gargi and Andrew Calof will produce on behalf of Wayfarer Studios, while Williams and Tim Kwok will produce on behalf of Lightbeam.

Unfortunately, that’s all we know for now! It’ll likely be quite some time until we get an actual look at anything from this movie, including PAC-MAN’s design. Let’s hope it goes better than Sonic’s movie reveal!

I just hope the first trailer gives Pac-Man human teeth.

Do we really need to see a Pac-Man with some weird realistic texture interacting with people in NYC or wherever they set it in? Why not just have it take place in their own world.

Can't be any worse than his major role in Pixels? Right?! 🤭
