I won't bother watching this live. If I hear anything of interest coming out of it, I might watch it later. Splatoon is Splatoon to me since the first one, just more of the same really.

“Naut Couture”, “Man-o’-Wardrobe”, “Crush Station”.
Quality nautical puns.

Oh, well. You made it, Nintendo.
I went from "no, thanks" to "Day-1" purchase.

It's almost shameful to compare two $60 games (Splatoon 3 vs Mario Strikers) on the content side.

It really is just little incremental steps each game. Splatoon 2 felt like "Splatoon 1.5". This one feels like "Splatoon 1.75"

But I'm pretty sure I'll love the single player campaign and Salmon Run like I did in the last game, so I'm probably getting it.

I loved everything they showed in this direct, I was going to buy the game anyways, but now I'm even more excited about it! A completely new game mode of sorts would be nice, but I wasn't holding my breath for it. What I do expect are 1 or 2 more "Anarchy Battle" modes and a few new weapon types + new gear. Maybe we will get one last announcement at the planned Invitational, similar to how they used an Invitational to announce Octo Expansion. As long as they keep the same update cycle from past games, we are sure to keep playing this game for years to come.
