Netflix launched their Resident Evil TV series just a few week back, and it was absolutely bombarded with negative reviews. It was rather hard to find good press out there, and even tougher to track down positive reviews from the general public. It seems that negative word of mouth spread far and wide, as Netflix has now officially pulled the plug on the series.

If you were hoping to see what happens with Wesker and the gang going forward, you’ll have to take the fan fiction route. Netflix has confirmed that Resident Evil is officially canceled, making the debut season the send-off as well. The final nail in the coffin was likely the fact that Resident Evil fell out of Netflix’s top 10 shows after just 3 weeks on the charts.

Just to put things into perspective a little bit more, Resident Evil received a 55% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and a 27% audience score. Not exactly glowing numbers, and a situation where the audience was sure to drop for a follow-up season if one got made.

Lance Reddick did indeed deserve better. I watched the entire season and it was terrible.
