If Nintendo followed their original plans, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp would have released on Switch months ago. Instead, Nintendo decided to hold the game back due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Ever since, Nintendo fans have been wondering just when they’d get to go hands-on with this remake package.

Many were hoping to hear more about Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp during today’s Nintendo Direct, including a release date. Instead, Nintendo didn’t even make mention of the game. This caused even more concern, with some fearing the game had been outright cancelled. Thankfully, that’s not the case.

Axios’ Stephen Totilo reached out to Nintendo to ask for an update on Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. While Nintendo didn’t have new details to share, they did reconfirm that the game is still coming. Their statement can be read in full below.

The release has been delayed. We will announce the new date once it has been determined.

They really shot this game in the foot. In retrospect I’m sure they regret delaying it.
