After what seems like an eternity, we finally know when we’ll get our first look at the upcoming animated Mario movie, along with the date it’s going to hit theaters.

The official Twitter account for the New York Comic-Con has announced that the premiere of the teaser trailer for Illumination’s Mario movie will take place at NY Comic-Con this year. In particular, the trailer will be showcased at 4 PM ET on October 6th, 2022. Hopefully that means the trailer will release online at the same time as well.

Along with that, we have a firm release date for the movie as well. In the same tweet, NY Comic-Con revealed that the film will land in theaters on April 7th, 2023. It’s so nice to know an official release date for the movie. Now let’s hope it sticks!

The expectations for this movie are like no other.
I’m sure it’ll be good.

I'm excited to see what the art style, character designs are going to look like. Although if I see one Minion I'm dropping out.

Anyone else getting sick and tired of the Comic-Comments? It's the same over and over, and nearly always in the "Top News".

That's 9pm Irish time, for some of us, looking forward to it. I wonder if Nintendo had tried to have the release date as 10th March(MAR10 Day), but it got pushed out.

He's a big Culture Club fan.

🎶Comic-comment, comic-comment, comic-chameleon. You come and go, you come and go-oh-oh🎶

He'll deny it though...

I'm actually excited for this, even though Super Mario Bros movie from the early 90's will be a big fav forever (such a gem). I am somewhat skeptical, of course, but damn I am also excited to see what they got. Surprise me, please!
