NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa comes to Switch on October 6th, 2022, but some review copies have started making their way into the hands of press as of today. That gives us a chance to see how this port is coming together, and we’re happy to say that it seems like so far, so good!

While there’s still a lot of work and testing to be done, it seems that NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa on Switch is another high-quality port. Early tests show the game running at a pretty constant 30fps in the early areas, with mild slowdown in later open-areas. Overall though, things appear to be quite solid.

The downgrade is very visible right from the opening scene comparison. Visuals are downgraded, it's smudgier and the textures are ugly. The only good thing I can say is the frame rate on Switch is a fairly smooth 30fps. But again, it's 60 fps on PS4, though not completely smooth.

I don't care much about downgrades. Playable on a handheld > A few downgrades.
