The Outbound Ghost hit with performance complaints, dev infers the version released wasn't the one he wanted

The Paper Mario-inspired Outbound Ghost is now available on Switch, PS4 and PS5. Unfortunately, it seems players across all versions are seeing performance issues with the title. While a patch is in the works already, it seems there’s more to the story than just an update.

The official Twitter account for The Outbound Ghost has shared a message about these performance issues, which you can read in full below.

As you can see, it looks like the dev behind The Outbound Ghost wanted to hold the game back a bit until an updated version could be released. Since the game is published by Digerati, it appears this decision was out of his hands. Digerati does say that “hopefully” it won’t be much longer until the patch is released.
