Did You Know Gaming is back at it again with another heaping helping of insider information. This time around the gaming historians have turned their focus to the Legend of Zelda franchise to share some never-before-heard details.

This video features three scrapped Zelda projects, including a cancelled Zelda game for the SNES Super FX, a Zelda game (Zelda Treasure Tracker) that became something completely different, and the legendary Ura Zelda, the expanded and remixed version of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64DD.

Out of the three projects, the Super FX title is definitely the most interesting. It seems this project aimed to remake, if not completely overhaul Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. This game made it far enough into development for a character model to be discovered, but the whole thing eventually ended up getting squashed because focus shifted to Star Fox 64, and Nintendo felt this Zelda title would end up releasing too late in the Super Nintendo’s life.

Glad their recent brush with Nintendo Lawyers hasn’t deterred DYKG from publishing interesting content.

Though they're still doing what they were struck for last time. Nintendo is likely to DMCA the vid for the Zelda Super FX coverage. That would be strike 2 and the 3rd strike results in all their channels and vids being deleted.
